Robot Prints


Our kindergarten students created their own robot designs by combining stamped lines and shapes to create these awesome robot prints. Watercolors were then used to add color to their beautiful prints!

Kindergarten Collage

Our kindergarteners are busy making these Eric Carle inspired trees for their owl collages. They mixed colors to paint their own papers and added textures just like Eric Carle too! I love their beautiful results and love what I do each day!

Wild Things Sculptures

Kindergarten students read Where the Wild Things Are by author and illustrator Maurice Sendack and created drawings to plan for their sculptures that were inspired from his illustrations. Students demonstrated their knowledge of the difference in 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional art as they created their creative creatures!

Winter Stamping Collages


Kindergarten students were read the stories Snowmen at Night, Penguins, Penguins Everywhere, and Snowballs in art class for inspiration for these delightful winter collages. Students demonstrated printmaking through stamping techniques as well as cutting and gluing skills in this lesson.

Clay Fossils

Kindergarten students learned about the formation of fossils in art class and the similarities and differences in clay and fossils. They pressed objects into clay slabs to create their own fossil-like sculptures.

Eric Carle Collages

Kindergarten students learned about illustrator Eric Carle and how he makes his collages for his book illustrations. Students then created their own painted papers while exploring color mixing and texture. Next, the student made papers were used to create students' own collages inspired by Eric Carle's storybook characters.

Hooray for Fish Paintings

Kindergarten students heard the story Hooray for Fish by Lucy Cousins in art class and used a variety of lines, shapes and colors as they created their own delightful fish paintings.
